Roy McAda

Roy Newton McAda of Campbellton, Texas passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 80. He was born September 4, 1941 to Robert and Elizabeth Cross McAda in Campbellton.  He spent much of his married life in Portland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Eldon, and his wife Linda.  He is survived by his sisters Dora and Ruth; his sons James and Brett (Wendy), grandchildren Bud, Jake, Amanda and Emily, great grandson Bud Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his faithful companions Domino (dog) and Sassy (cat).

Roy lived his life to the fullest. He spent his time taking care of his family, his friends, and his ranch. After caring for his wife Linda, he retired to the country, where he loved to be.  He spent his days tending to cattle, watching the wildlife, and enjoying the peaceful time he so loved. Whether it was fixing fences, feeding animals or getting his truck buried in mud, he enjoyed every bit of it.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Winsteads' Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow beginning  at 11:00 AM.
